Are you ready to paint but just can't find that perfect color?
Here are my top five tips for selecting paint colors.
1. Order a few large size samples from your designer or painter (8x10) to really see the color.
2. Tape these samples to your wall and stand back several feet to view them. You won't be a foot from the wall everyday, so why select your paint color in this manner?
3. Look at the paint colors throughout the day in different natural lighting, and also view them in the artificial lighting used in the same space.
4. Find the color you like and go one shade darker!
5. Always consider the sheen you're going to use; paint in a gloss finish and the color will look a bit darker than a matter finish.
