I occasionally stage homes for re-sale in the area and find this very fun. With so many accessories and furniture pieces around my office and home, why not?
I blend my knowledge of principles elements of design but also Feng Shui principles to create spaces that spark interest in potential home buyers.
Recently I staged a small brick home that had beautiful character. It had been on the market for over a year with no interest. The problem was that upon walking into the empty home, it looked as though it would be difficult to furnish. The room arrangement made sense to me, but could be perplexing to someone not in my field.
Even the smallest of homes can benefit from staging. We used light and bright furnishings and I also incorporated my favorite blue colors as people find this a very fresh and clean hue.
This home finally sold one month after being staged!
